A Trailer as a Home?

The first thought that came to my mind was cramped.  But, Andreas Stavropoulos thought that a 1959 Airstream travel trailer was what he wanted to live in.  This is a story of efficiency because you'd have to make use of every possible space available in this thing. I was totally impressed that he even came up with this idea!

He stripped the paint off both ends of the trailer to show the bright aluminum.

Obviously, there's no closet but, he makes do.  He kept the original stove to retain some authenticity of the trailer.

Andreas also built a ginormous pull-out drawer to keep the rest of his clothes in.  Genius!

So what do you think, could you live in a trailer?
After all, it is a Green way of living!

I sooo could not do this.

I'm feeling claustrophobic already.

I'm addicted to this show....

I know you are too, so don't try and lie to me about it.  Don't roll your eyes and think, "Oh, you too?"  I did NOT jump on a band wagon.  This is ridiculously cool to watch.  Nicole Curtis is amazing.  She can build, she sands, she designs, she demolishes, but in the end....she has some pretty jaw-droppingly gorgeous results!  I cannot say, "no" to watching this show if it's on.  It's like my list of to-dos go out the window and I'm concentrating so hard!
Check out this Minnehaha house if you don't believe me.

She made the vanity in this bathroom....well rehabbed it, if you will.
Who wouldn't want this bedroom?

Inspiring, no?

Coincidentally, if you google "Rehab Addict Pictures" just be prepared to see Lyndsay Lohan's face plastered all over your screen :)  I'm just saying!

Very Interesting.....

Would you imagine that the exterior of this gorgeous church now made into a home

would have this interior?

Me neither!  Isn't that amazing!  Talk about that fabulous chandelier.  I'm crazy over that baby!
Happy Wednesday!

What's Your Style In One Picture Challenge!

As I'm sure all of you know, Ally, from From the Right Bank, has issued this challenge I think three times.  This was so hard for me but, I think I found the perfect room.  It's a beautiful living room in San Francisco.
Why is it my style you ask?  Well, It's somewhat traditional which I love but, has touches of femininity and elegance that I think makes a room unique.  So I guess you could say this room screams of traditional elegance. I love the couches in that you could literally use them for any room in your house.  But, the chandelier, crystal lamps, and accessories glitz the room up to a more formal setting.  The fireplace is focal piece yet doesn't take away from the other lovelies in the room.  I love the mirror and darn it I love that zebra bench!  Truly I love this whole room.  What's your style in one picture?  Go join the challenge here!

Harper's Bazaar Leading Ladies!!!!

I always have a stack of magazines that need to be looked at either at the gym during cardio or during my evening me-time.  When I finally get to them, I can't even post about the wonderful images, styles, fitness ideas, activities, or generality of those shiny, and so-intriguing pages.  Why?  Because they're weeks or even months late!  I love Harper's Bazaar.  Who doesn't really?  But, I'm so late on posting on Gwyneth's awesome house.  I'm Soooo late on commenting on Demi's awesome fashion photos in Africa. I'm somewhat late in recognizing Katherine Heigl's new baby..... Basically, I have failed my Bazaar Magazine in sharing the love.  Well, in an attempt for redemption, I looked at past cover ladies of Bazaar and I'm sharing images of their digs.  Some they may live in, be selling, or used to live in, but they are all beautiful!
I love Gwyneth's home.  It's so clean and streamlined, but with such femininity.  I love that she has a touch of pink in almost every room.

This house is a 1957 home completely renovated by Demi and Ashton in L.A.  the windows make the architecture all the more eye catching.  Truly a unique a beautiful home.

Katherine's home is on the market so if you're up to your eyeballs in cash, check out this baby!

I love this chandelier.  These pictures are obviously taken before she's decorated it herself, but I love the character of those wood floors!

This Is Jen's home featured in Architectural Digest.  She definitely has a 70's Contemporary vibe going on.  I must say that fireplace with the glorious wall covered in stone is fabulous!

Maybe next time I get a magazine I'll read it right at that moment....or tomorrow....hmmm..  I'll work on it.  Don't look at me!  I know you do it too!  Until that next stop to my magazine pile,
AU REVOIR!
