I'm so ready for summer.  I can already tell that my itch to buy summer clothes could be detrimental to my financial status...hmmm...that's okay.  I think it's worth it!
I'll let you know how the sizing accuracy is when they arrive.  Rarely do I ever order the right size!

Tip:  I buy swimming suits frequently.  If there's a swim top or bottom that you really like, buy it in black or brown.  That way you can have those pieces for a couple of years and add different patterned pieces (with coordinating colors) to use with that one bottom or that one top!

I Have a Hot Date Tonight!

It's my anniversary!  The hubs and I wanted to do dinner and a movie, but babysitter can only spare time for dinner. (Thanks, Mom.)  Thus far I received this yummy "Incredible" perfume from Victoria's Secret.

  And this smellicious lotion to match!

It's embarrassing to admit this but, I have a huge collection of perfume.  For whatever occasion, my husband buys me perfume because I love it so much.  I'm literally that woman who walks by and people are thinking, "Wow, that's a strong scent."  I can't help it.  Hate me and my delicious smells if you must, but I love it!

Shopping Weekend!!!!

Last weekend the hubs and I went to an outdoor mall to purchase some new tennis shoes for moi!  We stopped by Bebe and Anthropologie and enjoyed our little time together.  On a whim, I browsed Forever 21 and bought these skinny jeans:

Can I tell you how much I love them?  They are comfortable, stretchy, I can wear them with heels or flats, and the best part, they're affordable!  So I'm going back today with my madre and I searched the web for some other goodies to get!  I can't wait!  In fact, I'll probably buy another pair of skinnies! These are my wants for today!!!

Is there really a need to say more?

Random pics for the pre-vacation

My family vacation is coming up and I'm a wreck trying to organize and pack everything.  Being one child out of seven means that there are a ton of people because almost all of my siblings have spouses and children.  Each little family is assigned a meal.  I decided to make shredded BBQ chicken sliders with salad and either french fries or chips.

As ambitious as I am, I already made the chicken and have it waiting in the freezer.  What I haven't made is a dessert and I discovered a list of things that I'm needing to get other than food.  We are a hiking, rafting, outdoors-ey kind of family and most everything I need has to do with that!  For example:

YUM!  But, I really am excited to be with my family.  Regardless of all the stressful details and having a boat-load to do,  

THE FAMILY IS ALL THAT MATTERS!

Stripes!!!

Maybe it's the Fourth being in the near-past or maybe it's the nautical obsession I've undertaken lately, but I'm loving stripes.  I also love when blogs focus on a pattern, color, style, you get the idea, and then have a modge podge of images including that topic.  So here are my two loves for the week: Stripes and a million and a half images of them!

Stripes can either make a room appear larger or smaller.  They can make you look fatter or thinner depending on whether they're horizontal or vertical.  They can add excitement to a room by being a visual interest.  Stripes are awesome, what else can I say?

I have a black and white striped, short-sleeve shirt, with two nautical style buttons on each shoulder.  It's my favorite shirt.
